VERGEZ BLANCHARD

Vergez Blanchard: two centuries of professional leather hand tools

Blanchard is a professional leather hand tool manufacturer originating from France, which has been manufacturing high-quality tools since its founding in 1823. The company's main customers include well-known brands such as HERMES. Blanchard's tools are used in the hand-sewn custom-made products produced at Fubao Crocodile Workshop.

The history of Vergez Blanchard tools can be traced back to 1823, when knifemaker Louis René BLANCHARD established a studio at 37 rue des Gravilliers in Paris. The company has grown and diversified, always pursuing excellence in quality. At the Antwerp World's Fair and other exhibitions from 1885-1900, Blanchard tools won 7 gold and silver medals.

In 1901, company partner Adrien Soubeyran moved the machine tools from Paris to Romilly in Normandy to solve the problems of noise and smoke pollution, while also enlarging the workshop and taking advantage of hydraulic energy. In 1910, Louis Hippolyte Simonin (Blanchard) acquired the Vergez company and changed the name of the Blanchard company to Vergez Blanchard. Today, after nearly 200 years of history, Vergez Blanchard is still a tool brand loved and trusted by craftsmen.
