The largest existing crocodile species is the Gulf crocodile, also known as estuarine crocodile, saltwater crocodile and river crocodile. It usually grows in the estuary at the junction of saltwater and fresh water. It has a long growth cycle and beautiful skin. It is the largest of the 23 species in the family Crocodileidae, the largest existing reptile in the world, and also the animal with the strongest bite force, up to 4,200 pounds.

1. Growth cycle:
Incubation period: Crocodile eggs hatch in warm conditions in about 90 days.
Juvenile: The length of a newly hatched crocodile is about 25-30 cm. Under the right conditions, young crocodiles can grow approximately 30-60 centimeters per year.
Adulthood: Crocodiles usually reach adulthood within 10-15 years. The body length of adult male crocodiles can reach 4.5 to 5.5 meters, and some individuals can even grow to 6-7 meters.
2. Feeding quantity:
Young crocodiles: need to be fed 1-2 times a day, the food amount is about 10% of the body weight, and mainly feed on small fish.
Adult crocodile: As the crocodile grows, the feeding amount will gradually decrease. Adult crocodiles are usually fed 2-3 times a week, and the amount of food each time is about 5%-10% of their body weight.
3. Maximum length:
Male Gulf crocodile: Adult males can reach 5-7 meters, and a few individuals may exceed 7 meters.
Female crocodiles: relatively small, usually between 3-4 meters.
4. Sexual maturity:
Crocodiles usually reach sexual maturity at 10-12 years of age. At this time, they have the ability to reproduce, especially when they reach a length of about 3 meters or more.
